If you open your calendar file directly using your file manager, the app won't scan your files, and the file will be directly available.

I have just discovered this feature by chance, so the actual problem is telling the user that this possibility exists.

First of all, thank you so much @dschuermann for this wonderful tool !

Regarding the FS scan, there is an issue far more problematic than long scanning time : when clicking on "IMPORT FILE" and then "LOAD", you get a "null" error and app crash if no ics file is present in your storage location.
