xAI now has an OpenAI-compatible API for Grok2 and upcoming Grok models. I expect these models to be serious players in this space, so it would be great to support them.

that is a great idea, I believe you can do that today with the OpenAI plugin: https://github.com/TheFireCo/genkit-plugins/tree/main/plugins/openai
