No result with Tesseract

Describe the bug
When tesseract english is selected as the language, the image does not appear to be sent to the engine after a section of screen is selected. When the windows language (english) is selected, everything works as expected. It's like text grab is not recognising the mouse click to finish the selection window definition (could be because there is no result from tesseract? - I've re-installed from winget and github msi)

I'm trying to use tesseract to extract a degree symbol in a string: ddd°mm'ss" to then allow use in an excel sheet.

Does Tesseract use when opening an image from the Edit Text Window and using the same Tesseract langauge?
