I can make an issue on his repo, but looks like because I'm overriding the armor with the absorption hearts, it causes armor to take damage no matter what the original source was. I can post an issue on Father Toast's repo, but other than taking off the hearts, or removing the mod entirely (and honestly, if people want to disable the mod, it's a very small mod, so it should be fine to do so), I don't have many options.
It seems intentional, but Natural Absorption's dev, Father Toast, mentioned possibly tweaking the mechanic to help with this. I'm going to mark this as a mod update, and do so if/when Natural Absorption receives one that fixes this issue.
However, since I can't predict if/when that'll happen, I'm going to push this issue off to the v1.2 release milestone, so that I don't have to wait on it for v1.1.
This is really bad with wood armor. You get poisoned and you loose most of your gear.
