Who is affected

Those who use Canvascript on Safari with CSTP on.

The problem

When CSTP is enabled, Safari indiscriminately deletes saved data (your saved designs) This is done-

  • Even if there’s plenty of free storage on the device.
  • Without an obvious reason or way to recover the lost data.
  • Without warning or notification to the user.

This is done after just a week of inactivity on the site

Temporary Workaround

Copy your design array and paste it somewhere safe. If you have already lost your work, we are sorry for your loss.

Solutions?

  • Disable CSTP
  • Paste your work somewhere else too, as a backup (ex notepad, dropbox etc)
  • Use some other browser than Safari
  • Pray to Tim Cook
