Unhide controllers on close doesnt work

Describe the bug
When I close Handheld Companion my steamdeck controller doesn't get unhidden when I close the program, so steam cant take over the controls when I start steam

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Enable Unhide on close
2. Close Hh companion
3. Try to use steam desktop layout

Expected behavior
It should unhide my controller, it doesn't even unhide it after a restart, I need to manually press unhide
