I just noticed that I'd been using the 32-bit version of WinMerge and there's a shiny 64-bit version available. How do I ensure that my settings get migrated over when I install the 64-bit version, and that they don't get deleted when I uninstall the 32-bit version? |

One detail: if you uninstall a different class (32- vs. 64-bit) of WinMerge than the one you install, you must edit the For example, if upgrading from 32-bit to 64-bit WinMerge:

When WinMerge is uninstalled, the settings are deleted.
For this reason, please do the following (You may be asked to restart your computer)
WinMerge
in the registry keyComputer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Thingamahoochie\WinMerge
