When you have a difference, the background for the line is coloured in the text view, and a corresponding band in the Location Pane indicates it.
Now sometimes I want to turn the background colour in the text view off, since it can be a distraction in some scenarios. But even though I turn it off there, I still definitely want to see it in the Location Pane so I can see the big picture of differences.
Currently the two seem to be considered the same - colour the background for both or neither - unless I've missed something.
Can I recommend they be treated as separate, so in Options - Colours - Differences you could have an extra line "Locator Difference" or some other appropriate methodology.
Perhaps with that have a tick option "Only show Locator Difference when text has a background".
Cheers, David
