Hi,
Table of content is a special form of content in Word since it stores references to other parts of the document (if you are interested you can look here to read about its internal representation). Therefor supporting it properly will require a dedicated plugin. Unfortunately there isn't an existing plugin for this. If you want you are welcome to create one yourself and send a PR and I'll merge it into the library.
