I'm using Linux Mint 21, and am very frustrated. Not being able to hear any sound just kills the Linux experience for me. I had no issues with sound on Windows 10. Please help me. I'm a Linux newbie.

Okay, if I plug the headphone connector into the jack in the back of the computer, I have sound. But I've seen it where I had to unplug the connector, and reinsert it in order for there to be sound. There's no sound whatsoever in the front panel.
