vst3 plugins, lv2 plugins will not be supported.

It sounds bad, but there is a good reason for this.

Genesis will define its own plugin format which plugins must adhere to and it will ensure that the plugin works seamlessly cross platform. Part of the offering that Genesis provides is that the same project will render on Linux, MacOS, and Windows.

Peer-to-peer collaboration is a huge aspect of the software, and thus we want to enable peers to be on different platforms. Thus we want each project to be renderable on any platform.

VST is a windows-only concept, and LV2 is a unix-only concept. Both standards have limitations that genesis does not want to be held down by.

However what will be possible is for someone to port an open source lv2 or vst plugin to the Genesis interface.

that nice but sad two if I switch all my plugins useless and isn't that a lot of unneeded work?

Genesis is not about avoiding unneeded work. It's about creating a new platform with certain design principles that make it a desirable platform to both build plugins for and contribute samples, artifacts, and songs to.
