Response for malnutrition

The response is inconsistent. Page 6 asks for:

According to this information, this child is
experiencing moderate malnutrition. Please refer to
supplemental feeding program. If these measurements are
not correct, please resend a corrected report
immediately.

The Appendix says:

This child has moderate acute malnutrition. Please refer to Supplementary Feeding Programme
(SFP) and counsel caregiver on child nutrition.

Using the latter, since it specifies for severe malnutrition (page 6) does not.

I think the discrepancy in verbiage for the feedback loop you mentioned is due to confusion of terms. “Moderatemalnutrion” and “Moderate acute malnutrion” are the same things. We really shouldn’t be using the word “acute,” as it might be misleading. The level of malnutrition above moderate is “severe malnutrition.” Andy, sorry for this confusion.
