Please confirm the following

  • I agree to follow this project's code of conduct.
  • I have checked the current issues for duplicates.
  • I understand that dispatcher is open source software provided for free and that I might not receive a timely response.

New Feature

Feature Summary

This would be a new "control" type task, but would go outside of the scope of the current control-with-reply task scope.

After receiving a message to go into maintenance mode, no new tasks will be started. There would be 2 sub-options about what to do with new tasks received while in this mode:

  1. Discard any new tasks
  2. Queue any new tasks, to be ran after coming out of this mode

Filed because I talked with @kdelee, and this would be used as a part of a larger system that deprovisions nodes or does upgrades.
