I would like to help moving our node ecosystem forward. As a user, you care mostly only about your direct deps.
But as a lib author, you want to make sure you use deps that are "future proof".
So, I think that it would be great, with this tool to be able to see better where we can update deps & reduce number of deps.
Knowing if our current version is deprecated is something... But knowing if the last version of the package is deprecated is even better. (especially for deps of deps that you don't really control)
Suggested solution
Check the last published version info.
I did a quick experiment, here is the result:
Package "npmlog":
Current version: 5.0.1
Will be deprecated in version: 7.0.1
Versions until deprecation: 5
Delta Days: 411
Package "are-we-there-yet":
Current version: 2.0.0
Will be deprecated in version: 4.0.2
Versions until deprecation: 5
Delta Days: 855
Package "gauge":
Current version: 3.0.2
Will be deprecated in version: 5.0.2
Versions until deprecation: 8
Delta Days: 872
Maybe we can then have a dedicated color (border?) for them to have a bit of attention ?
Maybe we can have a dedicated table with the list ?
Clear and concise description of the problem
I'm having way too much fun with this package!
