Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes. There is this one game called Mario no Fotopi which requires SmartMedia support. The emulation for the game is pretty quite advanced, but I think that proper emulation should be implemented in order tothe game to be properly emulated.
Describe the solution you'd like
A folder with pictures to be read by the emulator or an IMA file of an SmartMedia card that will be linked to the game.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I don't have any.
Additional context
Adding SmartMedia support in a Photoshop-like Japanese exclusive Mario game isn't done by any emulator. I don't know how this could be implemented and even if it will be implemented at all. There is a year-old issue on the GitHub that is mentioning this same issue, but was abandoned after someone mentioned a patch. I want the game to be run as original as it could.

Strictly speaking I believe this is true, however luigiblood has create Project64 scripts for doing so (and other obscure hardware) with it's scriptable debugger and could probably be useful as references.
