Does cmake do lto optimisation?

When using boost I can do lto=on and get the /lto-wholebuild/ in the compile but when using cmake it does not appears to even be an option. It's not in the CMakeCache.txt file at all.

So I was just hoping for a clarification about this option being available via cmake.

CMAKE_INTERPROCEDURAL_OPTIMIZATION appears to be the relevant var

@arvidn aslo, when using b2 and lto=on the library size is 100Mb, almost 10 times as big as withouth it. the python binding does not do this. It stays a reasonable size.
