This is a P8X32A/Propeller, P2X8C4M64P/Propeller 2 driver object for MAX7219/21 LED display drivers.
IMPORTANT: This software is meant to be used with the spin-standard-library (P8X32A) or p2-spin-standard-library (P2X8C4M64P). Please install the applicable library first before attempting to use this code, otherwise you will be missing several files required to build the project.
- SPI connection at 1MHz or ~25kHz (P1 PASM, bytecode SPI), up to 10MHz (P2)
- 7-segment (up to 8-digit) LED display
- Brightness control
- standard terminal I/O (putchar(), etc)

- Tested with 8-digit MAX7219-based displays
- Doesn't yet support dot-matrix displays
- Doesn't yet support chaining multiple displays
- BCD mode can be enabled, but isn't supported by the terminal I/O routines
