  • - generally track ring events (and add periodic paranoid timer)
  • - it should be possible to cache the owned/next partition logic and move that decision back up to yz_kv:index/3.
  • - Same for the the mapping of long partition numbers to short ones for logical stuff, and probably for computing tree ids based on where objects hash to and partitions owned.
