I can't install
https://github.com/bgirard/Gecko-Profiler-Addon/raw/master/geckoprofiler.xpi ,
Nightly (on Mac OS X) says
"This add-on could not be installed because it has not been verified."

Dragging the .xpi onto the Nightly window (as suggested by the README) doesn't do anything. When I open the .xpi via cmd-o I get the above error message. Also when I do "about:addons" -> "Install add-on from file".

There seems to be a workaround but I'd rather have an XPI that can be installed in a straightforward and secure way.

I can't know whether the copy I downloaded has been tampered with / whether that copy is malicious.

P.S.

Is this an option?

I worked around this by setting the pref xpinstall.signatures.required to false. However it seems that the pref automatically turns itself back on after a while (or even on next restart?). Can you guys sign the extension?
