The next release is spun off from 1.17 to cover the items we didn't finish there because we needed to ship early to address a critical bug.

Features:

• Feature request: way to limit number of word forms and definitions copied with c+t #1305

Accessibility:

• Improve contrast of default theme #1393

Bug fixes:

• Bug: <span> elements inside a ruby <rt> breaks lookup #1313
• Currency converter is confused by number suffixes (multipliers) #1399
• Handle "top layer" content #1464
• Add informative prompt about "Never remember history" setting when database storage is unavailable #1507

Architecture:

• Try switching Firefox, Thunderbird, and Safari to MV3

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, #701 is coming but very slowly. I need to convert the popup to Preact so that I can easily switch languages. I have already done it for the options page but the popup will be more difficult. I hope I can start the process in 1.18 or so, however.
