'Attempting to use a disconnected port object'

Steps To Reproduce

1. Open the extension pop up
2. View an vault entry
3. Wait some period of time, maybe disconnect your internet
4. Try to use the back button on the top left of the extension
5. An error has occurred Attempting to use a disconnected port object

Expected Result

There should no cryptic errors while trying to use the back button, or any button.

Actual Result

Since the UI of the extension was changed, I have been occassionally getting a cryptic An error has occurred Attempting to use a disconnected port object message that breaks the extension when trying to use the back button. You have to close and reopen the extension for it to work properly again. This never happened with the old extension.
