The GPU is not available, the N150 is quite new and some users have had trouble with it because the linux kernel does not fully support it yet |

You can also use OpenVINO for detection if coral is not available |

@TonyBrobston i installed arch linux and run it from a usb 3.0 stick instead of eq14 internal drive. i was able to get /dev/dri by-path card1 renderD128. i installed some docker desktop thing for arch linux. then installed frigate via docker install method. for now it is runnig poorly. shows my camera image (i only configured it for 1 camera), then camera image goes black, comes back, black,... and frigate web page is very flakey. i can't get "system matrics" to display for example or logs. seems like frigate is reseting in the back ground. So for now i can't confirm if ffmpeg is using hardware accel or not. also, my usb coral tpu led is not flickering, so i assume it is not being used. done for today. tommorow i will try making more simple config files (remove - /dev/dri/renderD128, remove tpu stuff, slow down camera rate,...) and see if i can get stability then add stuff one at a time... at least that is my current thinking... |

@TonyBrobston i removed coral usb tpu usage and now it is running stable. but high cpu usage. not much time this morning, will look more later today. |

@TonyBrobston thanks for your thoughts on this. but i think i'm giving up. i would rather use debian than arch cause i have other stuff i want to run and guessing i will have better luck with debian for most things. i should have paid closer attention when i clicked the frigate recommended server as it took me to amazon eq14 instead of eq13 :-( . so for now i will just slow down my frame rate on debian and wait for proper linux update... later :-) |

I heard that I may need kernel 6.12.5 since I have an n150. On Ubuntu in mainline, 6.12.5 is considered invalid so I tried 6.12.3 and 6.13-rc1, when I run
uname -rI get 6.13.0-061300rc1-generic.ls /dev/drishowsby-pathandcard0and I'm thinking I should seerenderD128also? But I don't.When I run without hardware acceleration things seem to work as expected, I am able to see my single camera stream.
I've tried a lot of things and am open to additional suggestion. I could list off what I've tried, but I think it may muddy the waters.
It seems like I need to do something to prove that whatever is needed on the host machine is there and working, however even after googling and asking AI it is unclear to me what the commands are or if I had the right ones and wasn't familiar with what I was looking at.
