Hi @renanqts, thanks for the issue. The ENA driver is included in the 6.1 kernel that Bottlerocket packages from Amazon Linux (see here). Bottlerocket is dependent on the driver update you are requesting to be included in a release of AL's 6.1 kernel. We're in touch with the Amazon Linux team to get this update into a release of their 6.1 kernel and we will keep this ticket updated when a new 6.1 kernel is released with the updated ENA driver.
We faced a bug in production where many instances crashed with Kernel panic due to a bug in the ENA driver.
I would really appreciate to patch the ENI driver to the current release https://github.com/amzn/amzn-drivers/releases/tag/ena_linux_2.13.2
Platform I'm building on:
EKS 1.29
What I expected to happen:
ENA driver behaving normally
What actually happened:
Instance crashed with Kernel panic
How to reproduce the problem:
Have the use case such as described in amzn/amzn-drivers#328
Extras:
Even the new version of Bottlerocket I can still see the old driver version there.
