created a new bottle (win64 . gaming . soda-9.0-1) and tried to install the wargaming.net installer.

it failed with a vauge message about bottles being "installer is not well configured" with no futher guidance.

@droidgoo Thanks for reporting this. I just tried it and it seems the installer download fails. I will look into it.

As a temporary workaround you can download the installer manually from here https://redirect.wargaming.net/WGC/Wargaming_Game_Center_Install_EU.exe and go into the bottle that you created (where the installer ran but failed) and install the Gaming Center via "Run executable" and selecting the Installer you downloaded. The installer did every necessary step short of the actual download before the download so your bottle should be set up correctly for it to work.
