Doesn't work in Batocera #42
Comments
I've looked at the Batocera Linux project and I noticed that you offer primary support for various ARM single boards. Since wine is not an emulator it cannot run x86_64 applications on arm (and derived) architectures |
Thanks for your reply. I mostly focus on Batocera PC x64 builds. Most of my videos and tutorials are for x86_64 systems. I understand that this won't run on ARM single boards, but most Batocera users are PC users. |

Can you provide some logs? |
es_launch_stdout.log Hi there again Mirko! Enclosed you will find the logs provided by Batocera. Hope that this helps. We really appreciate your time and looking into this. If you need anything else, just let me know. Thanks so much, |
Hi! I'm from Batocera Nation (a Fan Channel & website dedicated to people using Batocera). While Batocera is not a strict Linux distro, it is still nonetheless very popular right now among retrogamers. Batocera is able to use Flatpak and we have Steam running successfully in Batocera using Flatpak. While I was recently able to install Bottles on Flatpak within Batocera, I was not successful in getting the Installers up and running. Indeed, I was able to install several of them (i.e. Epic Game Store, EA Launcher, etc.), but none of the Installers did anything when I tried to run them. I suspect the problem might be that Batocera is not a strict Linux distro. Nonetheless, I'm hoping that a developer will look into it and perhaps look into the possibility of having it run successfully in Batocera.
I hope to hear from someone so that I can report back to Batocerans who are quite eager at having Epic Game Store, EA Launcher, etc. up and running in Batocera.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration,
Manny Burgos
