Rework catalog filtering to include observation status #169

Switch filtering to be called as part of .get_filtered_objects method(s)
Make sure .get_filtered_objects is used whenever filtered objects are needed
remove filtering calculations from other places
Verify that Observation Status is used for filtering everywhere
Make sure observations from the current session are included in filtering
