- Open the invenvtory of the creature to see the current stat-values (a screenshot may make things easier)
- Open ARK Smart Breeding and go to the "Extractor"-tab.
- Choose the correct species in the dropdown and enter the level and the stat-values
- Click "Extract Level Distribution"
- Now you can see the wild- and domesticated levelups of the different stats. If stats or controls are yellow or red, see below.
- Store your creature in the library to compare it to others and see which one is the best for your next breeding session.
A yellow stat means, that there is no unique but multiple combination of wild and domesticated levels to get to the current value. Click on the yellow stat to get a list of all possible combinations in the right listbox. Choose the entry that is the correct one.
If you know that you never leveled up the stat, choose the entry that has 0 levels in the domesticated column. E.g. if you have Oxygen selected and know that you never leveled up this stat, the domesticated levels in that stat have to be equal to zero.
If you don't know how often you leveled up the stat, have a look at the sums under the stat-boxes and find the level-combinations that don't violate the conditions there.
If that doesn't help, a definitive way to find out the levels is to breed the creature with a creature you know the levels and then look at the levelups of the offspring. If it doesn't have inherited the levels of the known parent you now have the levels of your current creature.
A red color indicates that the value cannot be combined by any combination of wild- and domesticated levels.
Either you have a typo in your typed in number or the stat-multipliers on your server may be different (only applies to unofficial servers). Ask your admin for the multipliers and change the file multipliers.txt in the tool-folder to match these. Then restart the tool and try again.
This means the possible combinations violate restrictions indicated by the red controls. This can be caused by
- wrong input of numbers => double-check the values you typed in
- wrong species selected => choose correct species
- the taming-efficiency-range is too narrow => enlarge the range
- the total levels are incorrect => double-check the levels
- torpor-bug => check if it works if you check "Since Taming no Server-Restart" (this is a bug in the game that causes to display the torpor too high until a restart)
- wrong determination of the tamed/wild-status => set the status of the creature manually
- you're on an unofficial server with different multipliers. Ask your admin to give you the numbers and adjust the ones in the file multipliers.txt
- if all of the above does not help the tool may have a bug => Upload a screenshot of the inventory where you can see the total-level and stat-values with the species-name and if you're playing on an official or unofficial server and send me the link. Either here on github in the Issue-section or on reddit.
