Building Error

Hi, I was trying to build anserini, but I got a failure info after running

mvn clean package

Is this error critical?

It's a Linux Machine with OS 22.04.1-Ubuntu, with Java version:
openjdk version "21.0.5" 2024-10-15
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 21.0.5+11-Ubuntu-1ubuntu122.04)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 21.0.5+11-Ubuntu-1ubuntu122.04, mixed mode, sharing)

What I did was:

git clone https://github.com/castorini/anserini.git --recurse-submodules
cd anserini
mvn clean package

Then I got that error.

[lintool]

ls ~/.cache/pyserini/topics-and-qrels/ | grep bge

Try removing those files and try again.

Was that because there are some outdated cached queries, qrels and some other files from previous anserini versions? And these corpus are updated constantly.

Yes, we fixed an issue with some old topics recently. For the most part, they're static, so you've hit a rare corner case.
