Dolby Vision now supported natively by FastFlix ?

Hi !

Was doing some testing around codecalamity DoVi howto and found out that FastFlix can now reencode DoVi with no specific x265 params or ffmpeg options.

Is it true or is there a trick fooling me ?
edit: gave those sample to my brother for testing on his HDR computer and they all seems to correctly be DoVi and DoVi+HDR !

Yes, FFmpeg now seems to support Dolby Vision, without any fanfare or release notes I have seen about it. It's actually causing an issue leaving some of that data in if I do manually remove HDR 😆 #384

There are some *Synth scripts that performs "Polynomial luma mapping, MMR chroma mapping on base layer. NLQ 12 bits restoration from enhancement layer":
