I've experienced this too, the log file requested does not exist, I've installed node.js and npm, this didn't help.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04. The ATOM package I was installing was Terminal-Plus v0.14.5, looks like the above error is for the same package.

Was this ever resolved? I'm experiencing the same issue.
