In SiteConfigReader.php line 193:
                                                                                                                         
  Cannot format DB CLI arguments (mysql://drupal:redacted@unix(/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock)/civicrm?new_link=true)

I'm guessing it doesn't like the unix socket string.

I should have mentioned, that output was the result of

vars:show
