Steps:

  1. Create a new Layout.
  2. Create a new Block
  3. Give it a name using the Block UI, which shows the Profile creation data. Ensure the profile is Active. Save.
  4. Select the stock fields "Individual:Country", "Individual:State¨, and "Individual:City". Save the block.
  5. Place block in the layout. Save the layout.

EXPECTED

Users with access to this layout and edit access for these fields can edit the fields normally.

ACTUALLY

As an admin, I can edit the three fields and click Save. A small green dialog appears saying "Saved". However, the data isn't displayed. Accessing the full contact form, these fields remain empty. The data hasn't been saved.

As a regular user with edit access for these fields, I can access the page with the layout, but when I click "Edit" on this block, an error message appears:

After reloading the page, another error message appears:

Admin or not, if I go to the full contact form, I can edit these fields and the information is saved.

@colemanw this issue may be partly because the default location type was disabled. However, @quimgil will be at the Manchester sprint - I'm wondering if you could demo how this would ideally be done using Form Builder while you are there.

Hi! Indeed, see you there. I don't see why I need Form Builder when the Contact Summary Layout already offers everything I need but that's why I'm coming to Manchester, to learn. :)
