Unable to build Cockpit locally

I have installed gettext tools then also this isssue is not resolving can anyone please help me

The configure check is indeed slightly wrong/misleading. I fixed that in #18409 .

Please install /usr/bin/xsltproc (the package name depends on your distro, but you can usually search for that); a later configure check requires that anyway, at least if you build with --enable-docs.

Can you show the output of git status. My suspicion is that you ran npm install or yarn install which changes either the package.json or package-lock.json` file.

Right, please run tools/node-modules checkout to fix this. We don't want developers to run npm install directly.

Sir by running this command tools/node-modules checkout it is showing this error

You'll have to undo the changes to node_modules and package.json with:

git reset HEAD --hard

And then run ./tools/node-modules checkout
