I've been trying to change nicknames in the web version, and whenever I do, the game fills in the unused spaces with question marks. Is there a specific format I am missing when inputting these names?

Also noticing in Gen II, setting the nickname doesn't work.

Probably should do this and #56 at the same time.

Looks like the issue with Gen II string inputs (nickname and OT name at least) is specifically tied to a non-English version.
