Implement renaming

No, we don't. We have the back-end code for renaming, but we don't have any interface to do it with. Yes, the input boxes look horrible :D

Could you re-design edit mode? It looks kind of scary (:fearful:) with that dark and menacing theme.

I'm sorry, didn't quite understand you there. We never actually made a mockup for edit mode. We just copied the Firefox OS idea. So we could "re-design" it.

What I'm trying to ask is does the edit mode have to have the same style as the for selecting items as it is conventionally done in the bb or can it be different?

It would be great if it could be different. A fresher and nicer look would be awesome! This mode is for file deletion, and in the future, renaming, moving, and sharing.

Gestures will be the most important for a intuitive ui. Therefore we will use gestures for many such operations

Of course, but the first implementation should be fairly straight forward with buttons. Afterwards, we can add gesture "shortcuts" :)
