Problem

There is a lot of minutia when it comes specifically to running hackmud on Linux. We have a lot of loosely-collated information about making it work on different distros that should be captured in a general 'Linux Troubleshooting' wiki page.

Context

Some things to capture:

  • Windowed mode/screen resolution (and setting a config for it on most DEs)
  • Fixing the CA certificates bundle symlink on Fedora
  • -force-glcore42
  • XDG Portal setup for #edit and #dir
