Adding an "Associated Media Type" or similar field as registry column

(Idea that has been discussed with IANA & AD so far. Also to propose to WG.)

The idea is to add a new field/column, that shows the base media type that the C-F registration uses.
This type can be shown as clickable link to the IANA pages that define the template for each media type, such as e.g. these pages:

https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/pkcs7-mime
https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vc+cose

The benefit is that having the field automatically ensures that the base media type exists.

"When a media type only appears in the Provisional Standard Media Type registry – which should be rare and temporary, and which I forgot can happen – I believe we would have to point to https://www.iana.org/assignments/provisional-standard-media-types itself. We’re not allowed to post registration templates for provisional registrations."
