Where to make contributions? Readme is confusing.

Hi @costrouc thank you for this package. I made an MR on GitLab as I assumed that this was a mirror as stated there, but the contribution guidelines are a bit confusing,

The README is al little bit confusing in the contributions part.

All contributions, bug reports, bug fixes, documentation improvements, enhancements and ideas are welcome! These should be submitted at the Github repository. Github is only used for visibility.

Is it okey to do an MR in GitLab?
I have solved a problem with SRIM writting " ,"s that depends on the locale and made the casts to float break, you can see it in MR !5
