By this issue do you mean like calling cargo-tarball through cargo tarball instead of just invoking it directly?

In the stage file, you can specify source files and where to place them in the dest.

This issue is about adding a new source type for the binary generated by cargo build.

This is one of my next priorities ... once I get back to cargo-tarball.
