Two small bugs

Hi @crsh,

Just wanted to flag two small bugs with you. I know this repo has received a commit in a while, but it is still linked to on the OSF's templates page, so I assume it is still being maintained.

Bug 1

The current master branch NAMESPACE file is empty. The CRAN version is fine, but anyone trying to install from GitHub will get 'not exported' errors when trying to use the package.

Bug 2

With both the CRAN and GitHub version, I cannot get any of the templates to knit if I add a reference. They knit fine without references, and changing the output type to anything else works totally fine (including {papaja} which I assume has a lot of overlap). After a bit of debugging, it looks like this is the same issue as crsh/papaja#587.

I'll open a PR which fixes both of these, but I also won't be offended if you just want to fix yourself.
