I currently have no ring devices responding in Homebridge. This error came up after a few updates to the Homebridge server so I'm not 100% sure where and why it kicked in. In researching this, I saw numerous issues here on GitHub and on the web where the user's security system needed rebooting or something similar. I don't have a security system with Ring, so am unclear why the following error would show: Ring beams_bridge_v1 40f1d612-e0de-4705-7c0a-af56f974a881 is offline or on cellular backup. Waiting for status to change. I'm logged into Ring.com without issue (after deleting the device and letting it recreate. I'm on a Raspberry Pi with these modules:
I've tried several downgrades of the plug-in and node.js down to 18.18.0, all with the same results. Here's the config section for Ring in the Homebridge config:
I did try unbridling the cameras, but no luck there. Also, I did a clean Homebridge install on a Mac and that yielded the same results (including a new Ring.com device entry). Finally, I tried running the ring-device-data-cli from both machines, was logged in, but only had this response after several minutes waiting for a response:
Any suggestions on this? Many thanks! The full log from restarting Homebridge forward is:

DOH! I found a Ring floodlight disconnected from the network due to its Ring hub being powered off. Once that was corrected, everything kicked in. Seems like the error reported might have been any device not responding. The Ring app pointed this out and don't know why I didn't verify that in the first place. Well, learned a few things........ |
