I think that the most flexible way to store information about load balancing method and performance monitoring is the following:

• Appliance Type stores information if service can be monitored for performance and if it can be load balanced and what is the default LB method (ip hash or round robin)
• If AT can be monitored and/or load-balanced user can define those on appliance level (defaults should be to monitor performance and use round robin).
