<p>
Matpower is a great Matlab toolkit for research calculations on Power Systems. Various test cases are provided and full AC power flows can be calculated along with DC power flows, economic dispatch models, ect. It is easy to modify for individual needs.

CPLEX is a solid solver for linear programs and mixed-integer programs by IBM. CONCERT is an api which has various interfaces for different programming languages. I am using the c++ api to call cplex to solve the power flow problem. CPLEX and CONCERT is available to all students through the Academic Initiative.

<p>
The data was pulled from MISO's website and loaded into a sqlite3 database. The database is pushed to a csv file that dygraphs can read. Great examples were provided to easily add the needed options to get a beautiful display. In addition, D3 was used and the tutorial from Scott Murray was priceless.

If your interested to do research with this data, I have packaged all the LMP data and have some basic tools for working with it on GitHub. If you need the data packaged differently, let me know and I can work something out. Feel free to send questions my way or let me know of any related projects you may be working on!
