For grasses we used the FAO climate classification system (as opposed to Koppen for all others) because IPCC grassland default values use this system. FAO climate classification includes “mountain zones”, which are pretty useless in terms of predicting vegetation (e.g., both the Sahara and the Amazon contain “tropical mountain zone”), so I didn’t include them, and we therefore have no data for grasslands in “mountain zones”.
