Is model to model transformation possible with Eclipse EMF.cloud?

I am a master's student at the University of Paderborn. Recently I was explored to emf.cloud from eclipse con. I was thinking of performing an exogenous model transformation (from SysML to Simulink). I want to use Epsilon for my model management. The model server seemed like a great resource to share and collaborate with distributed modeling platforms. But I couldn't find a component for transformation (Epsilon/ ATL /QVTo). Is it possible to use them in the cloud platform? I am really new to this any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,
as there is a JVM running on the backend, it should be very easy to integrate any of the mentioned approaches. About the model server: The model server is currently targeted for synchronization of several clients/editors of one user, it is not a server for enabling collaboration. This is handled by systems like Git. However, the model server could be extended to enable online collaboration.

So if you want to do model transformations to use them with the frontend there are basically two ways to achieve this. The way to go depends on your requirements.

1. Extend the model server as written by @jhelming(jhelming)

2. Write a custom backend component similar to GLSP Modelserver connection, so that you communicate with the model server in the backend directly.    This way you would be independent of the development cycle of the model server.
