Is there a roadmap for model server?

The model server is still a relatively new component and although it is already used in several projects, we are still in the process of defining the best API that both serves a solid default use case but also provides enough extensibility for custom use cases. We are happy to take any suggestions into account but until the API is a little more stable we don't want to release a version 1.0 and I cannot give you an exact timeline for that yet.

What must also be considered is the fact that a 1.0 release means going out of the incubation process ( https://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Incubation_Phase#What_Is_Incubation.3F ). So this gives much more constraints about API changes and I fully understand that the team is not in a hurry to get to this stage. (IMHO a wise choice for now)

By the way, I'd like to mention that the team is very welcoming to external contributors.
So basically, a new release would change the version number, but if you really are interested in bug fixes and evolutions, it is easier now to submit a good Pull Request and get it accepted, then get the up to date snapshot release.

For the time being, there will probably be other intermediate versions. I am not aware of the team's versions roadmap.
