Windows Style Window Switcher Suggestion #455

Problem or Need

The window switcher is great, but the "Windows style" ordering isn't quite right. It appears that one press of command tab takes you to the previous window, but the next press takes you to the same application you're currently on.

In Windows, when you press alt+tab it switches to the last windown and then each sequential tab press goes back to the application opened before that. So if I opened Outlook, then Teams, then Safari, when I press command+tab twice, it should take me from Safari to Outlook while currently it takes you from Safari to Safari. (no change)

Proposed Solution

Change the window switcher feature for Windows Style to reflext the same sequential application switching as Windows.

Alternative Solutions

N/A

Additional context

I'm the guy that recommended this feature on reddit.

Potential Impact

It would make window switching feel more intuitive to those coming from Windows.

macOS Version

15.1.1

App Version
