[Bug]: Wrong song plays #200
Comments
You probably have the CD Switcher turned on, which loads the music designated in the .ini. |
The CD Switcher worked the first time I played and I figured that was the problem. Then when I played again, RB and LB do not switch tracks, and I can't change the song that's playing. Why are there 2 tweaks ini files? the user ini one says to use RB/LB, while the regular ini file says something about RS+back. |
Okay I turned off CD switcher and the songs play like they should. But... why is CD Switcher listed in both ini files? The 2006 tweaks ini file and the user ini file both have several overlapping settings, CD Switcher being one of them. Not sure which one makes the changes stick. Should I get rid of any duplicated settings? I don't understand why there are two settings files. Thank you. |
The user.ini is just for keeping your settings intact between versions, if you're updating to the latest nightly action builds it could have new settings/features added inside OutRun2006Tweaks.ini, so to use them you'd have to replace your version of the .ini - but then you'd lose all your custom settings in the process, so instead you can keep your custom settings in user.ini, and now you can update without losing anything. Really most won't need to use that though, mostly convenience for people testing newest builds, if you don't need it you can just remove the user.ini and edit the normal one. |
deleted the user ini file. still, the music switcher doesn't work no matter what button combo. also, controller settings are not saved and i have to go in and select Xbox controller every time. I'm on a Steam Deck OLED and installed the game by pointing to the EXE, not Lutris. |
Here's the log file, what's going on at the end of it? Thanks. [2025-01-08 18:01:11.523] [info] OutRun2006Tweaks v0.6.1.0 - github.com/emoose/OutRun2006Tweaks |
Okay - I grabbed a fresh copy of the user ini and put it in the folder. Then I tested and still nothing. Then I installed the game again via Lutris (local exe) instead of just pointing to the exe and adding it to Steam. Now it seem to work. Very strange. |

No matter what song I choose before a race, a different song is played.
