This should probably be in the README. I've decided to have the "development" page available at http://irc.eternagame.org. To be able to talk in chat, you'll need to log in with an Eterna account, but otherwise you can just view. If you want to not use the main Eterna chat channel (#global), it also allows you to choose a different channel.

Do note however that no matter which channel you go to, at this time you will always see the history from #global, due to the nature of our current setup.
