Datalists doesn't work on Safari and is also a bit buggy on the other browsers, so would be good to think about a fallback option.

This cross-browser issue also seems to mean that the autocomplete won't work on my iPhone (even when using Chrome)

Btw, I appreciate this would be a whole new re-building job so feel free to ignore this one!

Also oddly that pink doesn't work on safari either! It might be that you've got RGBA but only 3 values from what I can see.
